How does the mask breathing resistance tester detect the mask expiratory resistance and inhalation resistance

The mask breathing resistance tester TQD-03 developed and produced by Jinan Zhongce Electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd. is used to determine the inhalation and exhalation resistance of medical masks, disposable masks, ordinary masks, dust masks, and anti-haze masks under specified conditions , It is suitable for mask manufacturers and national labor protection equipment inspection agencies to carry out related testing and inspection of mask products, also known as mask inhalation resistance tester, medical mask breath resistance tester, medical surgical mask respiratory resistance tester, etc.

Below, the editor briefly introduces the method of mask breathing resistance tester to detect mask expiratory resistance and inspiratory resistance. The detailed operation method is as follows:


1. Sample preparation: Determine the number of samples according to your needs, and carefully check that the samples should have no obvious defects.


 Sample pretreatment: Take the samples out of the original packaging and process them in the order as follows:


(A) Place it at (38±2.5)℃ and (85±5)% relative humidity for (24±1)h;


(B) Place in a dry environment at (70±3)℃ for (24±1)h;


(C) Place it at (-30±3)℃ for (24±1)h;


Before performing each step, the temperature of the sample should be returned to room temperature for at least 4 hours before subsequent testing; the sample should be placed in an air-tight container after treatment, and tested within 10 hours.


2. Detailed operation steps of mask breathing resistance tester to detect mask expiratory resistance and inspiratory resistance


1. Power-on preparation


Before turning on the power of the host, confirm that the power supply is AC 220V 50Hz, and the power supply voltage fluctuation range is not more than ±7%. Turn on the power, the welcome interface shown in Figure 4, power on the instrument to warm up in a standard test environment for at least 30 minutes. If the preheating time is less than 30 minutes, it will affect the test results.


2. Sample preparation


Refer to the introduction in the "Sample Preparation" section to prepare a certain number of samples to be tested. Generally, the number of samples shall not be less than 5. Check the sample visually, and the sample should have no obvious defects.


3. Preparation before the test


Select the mode in the test interface, and take "inspiratory resistance" as an example.


4. Conduct experiments


(1) Setting time and test flow;


(2) Put the tested sample on the test head mold, adjust the wearing position of the mask and the tightness of the head to ensure the tight fit between the mask and the test head mold. During the test, take appropriate measures to avoid the sample being adsorbed on the breathing tube.


(3) Click Test to start the test;


(4) At the end of the test, the system will automatically determine the test result, and the test result will show pass/fail;


Remarks: The standard stipulates that when the gas flow rate is 85L/min, the inhalation resistance of the mask is ≤175Pa; the expiration resistance is ≤145Pa.


5. Test the next set of samples


If you need to continue testing, repeat the above test steps.


6. End of test


After the test is over, click the "back button" to return to the main interface." Turn off the power and air source of the equipment, and cover with a dust-proof cloth. The dust-proof cloth should be kept clean and tidy and free of dust.
